Fuel Tank Cleaning, Fuel Tank Polishing Fuel Testing & Analysis
Poor fuel quality can clog your filters, slow down your dispensing rates, and is the number one reason for emergency generator failure.
Storage tanks are entered and cleaned for preventative maintenance, removal of built-up sludge, and during decommissioning of fuel tanks at gasoline stations, manufacturing facilities, public works and others. Tank cleaning is an environmentally friendly process that will preserve your tank’s sustainability long term. Future problems associated with the tank can be reduced by identifying damaged, worn or aging tanks or components.
The Don Wood Inc, team will:

Initial fuel samples will be photographed for post-fuel filtering comparison

Filter fuel with mobile particulate filtration system, capable of removing particulate to a level of one to five microns

Polish circulating fuel at a rate of 20-30 gallons per minute

During polishing process, remove all moisture/water content in fuel

Replace fuel filters and prime systems

Upon completion, collect confirmatory fuel samples and screen samples following the ASTM D4176 Standard

Place generated waste into properly labeled steel 17H drums

Transport and dispose profiled waste at a licensed recycling facility

Add algae microbial treatment

At completion of fuel filtration, photographs of fuel will be taken for comparison to pre-filtration fuel condition

Don Wood's filtration process removes a greater number of contaminants and reduces filter replacements at a much lower cost when compared to current fuel storage tank cleaning methods.
Our in-house designed fuel storage tank cleaning trailers use a unique combination of filtration systems and high velocity pumps to thoroughly clean the tank and filter the fuel. Best of all, our fuel storage tank cleaning process returns usable fuel back to your UST and allows it to remain in service while the cleaning service is being performed.
